In 1978 when we purchased the Theatre the ‘Brain Drain', as it was known, was at its height. Now 30 years on, as we celebrate the Anniversary of the purchase of the Theatre, we have a new ‘Drain' a ‘Talent Drain' as yet two more of our young people leave us to go to bigger and better things.

who joined the Youth Theatre for ‘ Les Miserables ' went on to take leading rolls with both the Youth Theatre and our adult Societies.

He gave a stunning performance as ‘Corey Palmer Senior' in The Youth Theatres recent production of ‘ Back To The 80's' . He also played the part of ‘Baby John' in St John's production of ‘ West Side Story' and was an unforgettable ‘Francis Fryer' in Colne's ‘Calamity Jane' .

Richard has now left us to take up the position of male vocalist/entertainer at Braydon Water Holiday Park at Burgh Castle Great Yarmouth.

has gained a much coveted place at The Hammonds School in Chester where she will study Musical Theatre for the next 3 years.

Katie first appeared with St John 's AO&DS in 1999 at the tender age of 7 as one of the ‘Snow Children' in ‘ Carousel '. In 2003 she played Gretel in ‘ The Sound of Music' and has appeared in several other St John's productions. Her last appearance was as one of the ‘Speed Tappers' in ‘ Thoroughly Modern Millie' .
